Return of Results
Return to Projects Page.
The purpose of defining returnable results is to define a set of genetic variants that are believed to be useful in clinical practice for purposes, such as assessment of genetic risk for complex disorders or the selection and dosing of drugs. Currently, the eMERGE Network has identified an initial set of variants that focus on common diseases and pharmacogenomics variants. The level of evidence supporting each variant along with the cost and benefit of incorporating them into patient care will be considered. Other areas of interest include genetic risk scores and susceptibility variants.
